Controls explained,
practicing moving off plus stopping
Moving off and stopping continued plus learning the gears
Lesson 1 & 2 recaps plus learning 3rd and 4th gear
Learning the Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre routine. Leaving main roads onto minor roads with visual aids.
T-Junctions. M,S,M Routine on approval. Open and Closed. Junctions with stop or give way signs.
Roundabouts - How to signal, Who has the priority, Learning exits numbers, not straight lining a roundabout on leaving the 2nd exist.
Traffic lights, Sequence of the colours, Bike lanes, Box Junctions & Dual Lanes.
Pedestrian Crossing, M,S,M Routine, Speed on approach, Giving Way, Not overtaking on zig zag lines.
Learning the extra road, how to cross, also turning offside to offside plus near side to near side and box junction.
Bay Parking (Forward) Learning accuracy, Car Control, Observation
Bay Parking (Reverse) Learning rear accuracy, Car Control, Observation as reversing
Parallel Parking. Car control, The method of parking, all round observation.
Parallel Parking. Second method of parking, also includes all round observation and car control
Parking on the right hand side of the road. How to pull over, reversing 2 car lengths and all round observation, how to then re-join the traffic.
Meet and cross approaching traffic. Singal parking in a narrow street, and double parking, then learning crossing the path of oncoming traffic.
One way street driving. How to identify one way streets. Positioning in a one way street, emerging from a one way road into a two way road.
Moving off and stopping. Using a busy main road, example Weelsby Road. How to stop and move off safely. Also at an angle from behind a parked car. This lesson also includes hill starts.
Show Me Tell Me. Learning how to maintain the car, Lights, Brakes, Steering & the Tyres as example.
Bus Lanes. How to use them, Times of bus lanes, How to exit the bus lanes.
Emergency Stop & the use of mirrors. The emergency stop method used on your driving test. Also drinking / drug driving talk and skidding. Also building on what you know on mirrors.
